About Shay

Shay is an experienced, caring and driven member of the Hamilton Island Weddings team who prides herself on creating meaningful connections with her couples and bringing their visions to life. With a background in large scale event coordination, Shay finds the most rewarding part of her job is celebrating the love, unity and connection of couples and the joy weddings bring.

Having grown up on the Gold Coast, Shay loves spending time with her friends and family including her three dogs. Shay’s favourite part of being home is walking along the beach and exploring new hidden gems. Living a happy, fulfilled life and helping others to do the same is one of Shay’s passions.

Shay has been fortunate enough to travel the world. She longs for the new experiences and lifelong memories that travelling provides. From snowboarding in New Zealand, participating in a yoga retreat in Bali and learning about the war history in Vietnam.

When Shay is not in the office creating dream wedding days for her couples, she is out exploring the Whitsunday’s and her beautiful island home. Shay loves the beauty of waking up early and hiking Passage Peak to watch a new day roll in.

Shay is grateful to have the opportunity to guide and support her couples to create their dream wedding on Hamilton Island, made up of unforgettable, special moments. Shay can’t wait to start the planning for your special day and to welcome you to Hamilton Island.
